Historic Richmond Tours, a service of the Valentine Richmond History Center, offers a wide variety of fascinating guided tours that explore the rich and diverse history of the city. Guided walking tours, specialty bus tours, custom group and school tours and step-on guides are among the services offered by the History Center.

  • Public Tours
    Get up-close and personal on a Richmond City Tour. Whether you ride or walk, certified History Center guides can take you back in time on a trip around the city.
  • School Tours
    Teachers, let us coordinate your whole day's schedule with our school tours.
  • Other Group Tours
    You provide the group and we'll provide the certified guide and a fantastic tour of your choice! This option is perfect for wedding parties or visiting relatives.

Historic Richmond Tours is a member of the National Tour Association and the Richmond Motorcoach Network. The Richmond History Center offers step-on guide services. Our certified guides are well-trained, friendly and knowledgeable.

As our Historic Richmond Tours program continues to expand, new opportunities are arising for people interested in becoming certified tour guides. We are especially looking for guides to help us grow the African-American Heritage Tourism program.
