Nomination Submission Deadline: June 30, 2009
Nominate an individual or organization that is making a difference in the Richmond region. Perhaps your neighbor is raising scholarship funds for underserved populations or a grassroots organization is cleaning up public spaces. Many of these people go unrecognized. YOU can change that!

Nominees must be making a difference in Richmond City and/or 13 surrounding counties (listed on the nomination form). Organizations may be of any type and are not limited to non-profits. Nominees are nominated in one of five categories (listed on the nomination form), and the Selection Committee will select the most outstanding honoree in each category. The five honorees and their nominators will be contacted on or before August 1, 2009. Honorees must be available for publicity photography in August and for the awards gala on October 20, 2009. Staff members and trustees of the Valentine Richmond History Center may not submit nominations. Honorees will be profiled in a special section of the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

You may submit more than one nomination and can resubmit a nomination from previous years.
