Focus on Fabric - Children view the costume and textile collection and use fabric scraps to make their own special pin.

The Shape of Our House - With the Wickham House (1812) as a backdrop, children will discuss the differences between old and new homes and take home a drawing of their own house.

Whose Hat is That? - Hats tell us a lot about the people who wore them.  Wearing some of our hats will help the children learn about those people from the past. Children create their own hat to take home..

History Mystery - Children examine a reproduction of a squirrel's nest to determine what life was like in the past and create their own nest to reflect life at their home.

Posters Off the Wall - Using vintage posters such as "Rosie the Riveter," children determine the purpose of posters from our collection and create their own.

Wish You Were Here - Before email and cell phones, people sent postcards. Children examine postcards from our collection and create their own.
