Educational Programs: Adult Group Programs

Richmond History Center Exhibits
The History Center’s curriculum for adults seeks to expand a person’s appreciation of Richmond’s past.  Audiovisual presentations are conducted by the History Center’s curatorial and education staff and, when held on-site, can include related artifacts from the collection or a current exhibition.

Group Visits to the History Center Galleries are self-guided. Our exhibitions include "Battle for the City: The Politics of Race, 1950s-1970s," "Creating History: The Valentine Family and Museum" and "Discovering Collections, Making Connections," as well as the Edward V. Valentine Sculpture Studio. Visit the Exhibitions section to learn more.

WickHam House Tours Groups of 10 or more can arrange special guided tours of the Wickham House (1812), a National Historic Landmark and one of the History Center’s greatest treasures. Read about the Wickham House.

Historic Richmond Tours
Our tours can be customized to fit an individual group’s need or the group can select from a variety of existing tours that include Richmond Highlights, Old Richmond Today, African-American Heritage and a Civil War Sampler. Learn more.
